A1 Systems

As a result of “A1: First Alternative content-provider” company restructuring in July 2008, the sector of service providing was allotted as a separate company “A1 Systems”.

“A1 Systems” works in complex niche areas, such as SIM-applications (STK, DSTK, Cell Broadcast), USSD-services and such, and is the market’s leader in these areas.

 

Versatile experience of many years allows the А1 Systems team to find optimal solutions for maximum efficiency in converting the providers’ abilities into income and solving various tasks starting by development and implementation of platform solutions for OSS and ending with B2C services with one of the biggest ARPU on the market.

The efficiency of the company is validated by cooperation with most providers of Russia and the CIS, including the big trio providers.

SIM-card menus and OTA campaigns

A1 Systems is the only service provider on the Russian market offering turnkey solutions for SIM showcase – an applet for SIM-cards, a DSTK platform, information and entertainment services for any card volume and aggregation program administration.

Moreover, we can bring the entire network to the same menu by performing an OTA campaign for re-flashing the old cards.

Our services are offered on the SIM-cards with over 15 OSS, A1 Systems being the aggregator of the SIM showcase for most operators.

Over 50 SIM-services help subscribers to obtain useful information (weather forecasts, currency exchange rates, news), to load media content (images, music, video) and to communicate with other subscribers in more interesting and easy ways.

The services are adapted for different platforms - WIB/DP8, JUST, GXO, SIMperia, SIMGo, NaviGate, Navigator. A1 Systems also developed its own DSTK platform NaviSIM.

Cell Broadcast

The A1 Systems company is developing services for the Cell Broadcast technology, having won the tenders for providing services in four networks, for two of which we act as showcase aggregator:

  • VimpelCom: broadcasting in Chameleon project (Southern region and Volga territory);
  • NTK: aggregation in eXterra project;
  • SMARTS: NewsCom project with exclusive broadcasting on “Domestic” operator channel;
  • UTEL: broadcasting on exclusive conditions in U-life project.

The services are successfully implemented for different technical platforms - CBC Celltick (Celltick Technologies development) and mnCell Broadcast Centre + JUST (Bercut development).

USSD

A1 Systems works successfully with USSD technology. WE have developed and put into commercial service six USSD portals for providers with information, entertainment and IVR services, promotions and quizzes. We have implemented our own platform solution Arkhipelag for fast introduction of USSD services in new providers’ networks.

SDP supply and system integration

A1 Systems supplies a full range of infrastructure solutions for cellular network providers. We can give the following solutions as examples:

  • DSTK/SIM-browsing platform
  • Rates management depending on subscriber’ location
  • Organization of CPA and bonus rates for GPRS-traffic
  • Display of account balance status on subscriber’s phone screen in standby mode and others.

Besides ready solutions, we are performing custom development and system integration of infrastructure elements for cellular providers’ networks.

Our plans

This year, А1 Systems is planning to consolidate its leadership positions by significantly increasing its presence in the VAS sector as well as on the SDP market, thanks to systematic optimization of services portfolio and introduction of several high-tech complex solutions for providers.
